Let’s walk, not just talk.
I believe there is something powerful about having the space to talk, think and be yourself outdoors.
I’m Liz, an integrative psychotherapist offering therapy for adults and young people in quiet natural settings across Derbyshire and Staffordshire. I work holistically, drawing on person-centred, attachment-informed, compassion-focused and CBT approaches.
With 18 years’ experience in primary and SEND education and five years of Forest School experience, I bring a strong understanding of children, young people and families into my psychotherapy practice.

Walk, talk, breathe - Psychotherapy in Nature
Therapy can feel intense. Sometimes, being outdoors gives us a little more breathing room.
My work with children and young people has included teaching and Forest School, where I’ve seen the value of being outdoors first-hand. During lockdown, I discovered Walk & Talk Therapy and began to explore how naturally the outdoors could become part of therapeutic work. It’s something I’ve continued to develop ever since.
I’m an experienced, qualified psychotherapist, but I’m also human. I’m here for the hard stuff, the things you might not quite know how to put into words - and all the bits in between. People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. Whether you’re dealing with something that’s been going on for a while, facing a difficult period in your life, or simply feel that something needs to change, we can start where you are.

I can support you with:
Anxiety & overthinking
Stress & overwhelm
Low mood & depression
Burnout & exhaustion
Self-esteem & confidence
Emotional regulation
Grief & loss
Trauma & difficult experiences
Relationships
Identity & life changes
Neurodivergence
School, work & exam stress
My approach is warm, down-to-earth and individual to you. Sometimes we need to make sense of what’s happening; sometimes we need to find a way through it. And sometimes, we simply need someone to walk alongside us for a while.
